KHORDHA, SEPTEMBER 30: The Khordha district administration has announced a three-month schedule for public grievance redressal hearings from October to December 2026, providing residents with an opportunity to bring their grievances directly to the authorities and seek timely administrative intervention.
According to a special notice issued by the district administration, a total of 12 grievance redressal camps will be organised during the three-month period at designated locations across the district. The hearings will be held from 10.30 am to 1 pm on the scheduled dates, enabling people to raise issues concerning public services, welfare schemes, land and revenue matters, local development and other administrative concerns.
The initiative is aimed at strengthening direct communication between citizens and the administration while facilitating the resolution of public grievances through the intervention of the concerned departments. The camps will be held at the Zilla Parishad conference hall on the premises of the Khordha Collectorate, various block offices and the Jatni Municipality office.

As per the schedule, three grievance redressal camps will be organised in October. The first hearing is scheduled for October 5 at the Zilla Parishad conference hall within the Khordha Collectorate premises. The subsequent camps will be held at Bolagarh block on October 12 and Tangi block on October 26.
The administration has scheduled five grievance redressal camps in November. The first will be held at the Zilla Parishad conference hall at the Collectorate on November 2, followed by a hearing at the Jatni Municipality office on November 9. The camps will subsequently be organised at Begunia block on November 16, Balianta block on November 23 and Banapur block on November 30.
Four more grievance redressal camps will be held in December. The first is scheduled for December 7 at the Zilla Parishad conference hall on the Collectorate premises. The remaining hearings will take place at Balipatna block on December 14, Chilika block on December 21 and Bhubaneswar block on December 28.
Through these camps, residents will be able to bring to the administration’s attention problems relating to the implementation of government welfare schemes, delays in the delivery of public services, land disputes, revenue administration, infrastructure development and other issues requiring official intervention.
The grievance redressal exercise is also intended to facilitate coordination among the departments concerned and enable officials to examine complaints and take appropriate follow-up measures. The direct interaction between the public and government representatives is expected to help identify difficulties faced by residents in accessing administrative services and implementing welfare programmes.
The district administration has urged people to take note of the dates, venues and timings and attend the hearings with their grievances. Residents have also been advised to approach the concerned officials at the subdivision, block and tehsil levels on designated government working days to submit their complaints and seek necessary assistance.
The three-month schedule is part of the district administration’s efforts to provide an accessible platform for citizens to communicate their concerns and obtain administrative attention. The hearings will enable residents from different parts of the district to present their problems before the appropriate authorities without having to depend solely on routine departmental channels.

The administration has appealed to the public to make use of the scheduled hearings and place their grievances before the officials concerned for consideration and necessary action.
