Khordha -24/8-A blood donation camp was organized at Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Iswariya University,Khordha.
The camp was inaugurated with the lighting of lamps. On this occasion, Chief Guest, Khordha Muncipal Council Chairman, Ms.Kanaka Lakshmi Mohanty, Vice-Chairman Sourya Ranjan Mohanty, Panchayat Samiti Vice-Chairman, Prakash Kumar Samantaray, Dr.Amiya Jenamani and Khordha Brahma Kumaris center, Jayakrushna Satpathy were present.Mr.Satpathy, while giving information about the blood donation camp, said that this event is being organized on the 18th death anniversary of the former Chief Administrator of the institute Dadi Prakashmani Ji. He said that blood donation is called ” Mahadaan” because it saves the lives of everyone, rich and poor.Khordha Municipal Council, Chairman, Ms.Mohanty said that, ” When a person donates blood he gives life to someone in need.
This camp organized in the memory of Dadi Prakashmani Ji is a great example of service to humanity”. She praised the social service of the organization and wished for the success of the event.Many people came forward with the spirit of service and donated blood for the nobel cause. A total of 44 units of blood were collected in the camp.Khordha Blood Bank in-charge, Dr. Saurav Sundar Ray,technicians Arun Kumar Sahu, Jhunu Lata Sahu,Laxmi Priya Pradhan,Jhansi Rani Patra were actively assist in blood collection by performing venipuncture, preparing the donor, collecting blood into bags, managing collection process and providing donor care and instructions. They follow strict safety protocols to ensure the donor’s wellbeing and the collected blood’s safety for future transfusions.
