Health check-up and awareness program for women construction workers held

Khordha:- In collaboration with the District Administration and District Labour Office, a health check-up and awareness program for women construction workers was held at District Press Club, Khordha during the ” Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyan Campaign Week under the supervision of Assistant Labour Officer(ALO) Bikash Kumar Nayak, a health check-up and awareness program for women construction workers working in the construction sector was conducted and awareness was created regarding health safety.

Dr.Bishnupriya Das, Dr. A.K. Subhashree Chand (AYUSH) of Khordha District Head Quarter Hospital, Pharmacist Chinmay Khandayaray, Alok Kumar Ransingh, Lasxmidhar Mohapatra, were present and gave advice on the health check-up of women. Especially non-communicable diseases, tuberculosis, anemia, how to maintain cleanliness during menstruation, blood pressure, diabetes, age-appropriate weight, etc.were tested along with treatment.

Women construction workers above 65 from near by area were participated. The construction workers appreciated to organized such a program for women construction workers by the Labor Department. Among others, the office bearer’s from various labor organizations, Labor Department DEO Ashish Ranjan Mohapatra, Rabinarayan Nayak were present and smoothly conducted the program.
