Begunia, (Subha Khabar):- A massive dharna was staged today at Begunia Block by women workers of Mission Shakti demanding for fulfilment of their long-pending issues.Grassroots workers such as CRPs, MBKs, Krushi Mitras, Prani Mitras, and Bank Mitras have been seeking an increase in their honorarium. The All Odisha GPLF Karmi Sangha had earlier submitted memorandums to the BDO, District Collector, and Mission Shakti Minister demanding EPF, gratuity, bonus, and extension of service period for the workers.Although a discussion was held on 24/09/2024 with the District Collector, Minister, BDO, BPM, and DPM regarding these demands, even after one year no concrete step has been taken by the government.
In protest, under the leadership of Subhasini Pattnayak, hundreds of women CRP workers staged a mass dharna inside the Begunia Block premises today and submitted their demands through a demonstration.
