Khordha-7/10-In a significant development in the khordha district Jankia-Chhanagiri Sai Sonu Alankar jewellery heist case Jankia police arrested two more accused raising the total arrests to eight.Over 1kg of gold and 2 kg of silver were recovered during the operation.
The August 24 robbery involved eight armed men and police continue their manhunt for the remaining culprits and stolen assets.During further investigation of the case two more persons were arrested and seized 120 gm gold and 946 gm silver ornaments,Rs-2.5 lakhs cash,one pistol with four round live ammunition & one black colour Bajaj Pulsar bike from the accused.
The case highlights the co-ordinated efforts of odisha law enforcement in tackling organised crime.
