Khordha District’s First Rabi Dhana Mandi Inaugurated.
Khordha–21/5–The First Rabi Dhana Mandi in Khordha districts has been inaugurated in Naranagada Co-operative Society under khordha block here today.The chief guests of the occasions MLA, Khordha, Prasanta Kumar Jagdev, DRCS, Alaknanda Jena, ARCS, Urmila Das, Bhagwat Marandi, CSO, Suguda Murmu, ACSO, Jayanta Dash, RMC, Secretary Anil Kumar Raut, AMI Punyajay Sahu, BDO,Khirabdi Tanmaya Sahu, Zilla Parishad President, Rupa Shree Rani GumanSingh, Panchayat Samiti, Chairman, Shrimayee Priyadarshini Patra, Naran Garh Sarpancha, Mitarani Behera, Secretary, Prakash Chandra Baliarsingh, Former ZP Member & ATMA, Chairman Rudra Bhanu Narendra Singh, MP, Representative Dilip Kumar Hota, Dilip Kumar Pattnaik, State Union President, Nityananda Dash, Khordha District General Secretary Biswanath Maharana, Khordha Block Union President Jhaja Kishore Samantray, Secretary Kanpur Prabhata Praharaj, Kailash Srichandan, Kashinath Mishra, Gangadhar Rautray, Santosh Kumar Sahu, Rubina Harichandan along with more than 200 farmers of the area attended the first meeting on the sale of paddy crops. Discussions were held & with the consent & co-operation of all, after the recitation of the Vedapatha by the Brahmin, the Dhana Mandi was officially inaugurated. A total of 3277 farmers have been registered in Khordha district, while a target of 17600 quintals has been set for the first phase. A total of 28 dhana mandis & 2 sub-centers in the district & 5 farmers, have purchased 172.92 quintals of paddy today. This year, for the first time, the state government has announced an additional incentive of Rs 800 per quintal on the purchase of paddy for the Rabi crop &
the central government has announced a total of ₹2300 to the farmers, making a total of ₹ 3100. The farmers expressed their gratitude to the government in the meeting.
