Khordha-(Subha Khabar)-The pathetic condition of Khordha District Head Quarter Hospital (DHH )is unbelievable. While hundreds of patients from khordha district & its surrounding areas depend on the DHH, the lack of doctors & the lack of cleanliness & hygiene inside & outside the hospital have created an unhealthy environment.While the sponges have come out of the beds meant for the patients, the bed sheets are not changed at regular intervals. Even oxygen machines worth lakhs of rupees have broken down in the wards due to lack of proper maintenance.
While the cholera disease is spreading rapidly to one district after another, it is also slowly spreading in Khordha.The number of patients suffering from diarrhea in the Khordha DHH is rapidly increasing.The Chief District Medical Officer & senior official’s of the health dept.are not amused by this.Day by day, the irregularities in the DHH, Khordha are getting worse instead of improving.
While the state government is struggling to provide good medical care to everyone, an exception is being seen in the khordha DHH. Today, it is not an exaggeration to say that it has become a referral hospital.
While the health department has taken all the responsibility in the hands of outsourcing agencies & discharged its responsibility, the common people are deprived of getting proper health services. While building after building is being constructed,in DHH campus the number of patients has decreased unexpectedly.The common people are not relying on government hospitals, but are going to private hospitals for better treatment.There is a general demand that the state government should look into this.
