Police Cracks 7kg Silver Ornaments Heist Case Within Few Days.

Khordha–:21/5–Balugaon police cracked a silver ornaments heist case within few days & arrested two accused persons of robbing 7kg silver ornaments worth over ₹ 6 lakhs from Prahallad Nayak under Balugaon police station limit’s.The police have recovered 7 kg of silver ornaments from the accused. The accused were identified as Mahesh Pradhan(22) & A.Ravi(35) both are the village of Dunkuni, Sapur, PS-Kotinada, Dist-Ganjam.In a press meet at District Police Office, Khordha, here today, SP,Ms.Sagarika Nath, said on -9.5.2025 complaints Sunita Nayak, W/O- Prahallad Nayak, village-Umakantapur, Ps-Balugaon, Khordha filled a written report alleging that her husband Prahallad Nayak had been going door to door for selling of silver & gold ornaments in Balugaon, Banpur & Ganjam area. On dated-9.5.2025 about-9 am victim Prahallad Nayak proceeded towards Khalikote area for selling of silver & gold ornaments with his motorcycle, suddenly on the way near Nimikheta burial grounds five unknown miscreants obstructed & assaulted him by lathi & fired two rounds of bullet to him from their pistol & snatched away the silver ornaments bags as a result of which Prahallad Nayak received severe injury & shifted to medical for treatment. Taking the gravity of the offence, as per the direction of SP, Khordha, Ms.Sagarika Nath a team was formed headed by SDPO,Balugaon, Sanjaya Pattnaik,IIC, Balugaon, PS, Insp.Jayaprakash Parida, SI,Soumya Ranjan Panigrahi, SI,Srinibas Samanta & staffs, after verified all the CCTVs raids were conducted in different places & the above two accused persons were apprehended & recovered the above stolen properties.
