Police Seized 6tonnes Beef from Container.

Khordha- Banpur Police, x local residents, seized around 6tonnes of beef from a container truck on the National Highway.

Jitendra Biswal of Dangua village noticed blood and liquid leaking from a container (MH-25-AJ-5330) while travelling towards Balugaon and suspected illegal transport.He followed the vehicle and, with the help of locals, intercepted it near Gopinathpur Chhak before alerting the police through 112.

When locals sought to check the challan, the driver and helper allegedly attempted to intimidate them using iron rods and a knife.Acting promptly, Banpur Police reached the spot, subdued the accused with public assistance, and seized the vehicle.
Preliminary investigation reveal that the container was transporting beef from Kolkata to Hyderabad.The accused have been detained, and further investigation is underway.
