Khordha-18/10-Police & Additional Regional Transport Office(ARTO) official’s conducted joint MV and Drunken Drive enforcement in various PS areas of khordha and National Highways to promote road safety and discipline and impose fines for traffic violations with penalties varying based on the offense and being enforced through both physical stops and an electronic system known as e-challans.
Fines are impose for offense like over speeding,drunk driving and not wearing helmets.During the joint enforcement 12 nos of challans issued and ₹2,38,000/- lakhs fine collected.
Authorities affirm that such sustained joint action will continue to deter reckless driving and ensure compliance with traffic rules.
