Sensitization Programme of Students on Cyber Safety & POCSO Act. 2012

Khordha-(Subha Khabar)-A workshop on Cyber safety and POCSO Act. has been organized at Kabi Prasanna Patasani Higher Secondary School, at Malipada Khordha in collaboration with the District Child Protection Unit, Khordha & Women & Child Development Dept.Govt.Odisha.

The workshop was formally inaugurated by the Principal of the higher secondary school, Mihir Chandra Mohapatra. District Child Protection Officer(DCPO) Banishree Pattnaik, delivered the welcome address and discussed the objectives of the workshop in details.In this workshop, Prasanna Shukla and Amita Singh, Program Officers of Plan India, were the chief guests and discussed in detail about Cyber Safety and POCSO Act-2012.

More than 220 students studying in +2 of the higher secondary school attended this workshop and realized how useful the above workshop was for them. Because if they are not aware of this , then the possibility of becoming victims of cyber crime every day cannot be avoided, said the college’s English Lecture Praneswar Jayasingh, History Lecture Kishore Kumar Sahu and Philosophy Lecture Ashok Kumar Mallick.Probation Officer Saumendra Nayak conducted the program while Ranjan Kumar Gochayat, Social Activist of District Child Protection Unit, assisted. At the end of the program Praneswar Jaisingh proposed the vote of thanks.
