District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee Meeting held

Khordha-10/10-The District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee meeting was held in the Conference Hall of Zilla Parishad Khordha under the chairmanship of MP, Aparajita Sarangi. MLA,Begunia ,Pradeep Kumar Sahu, Collector Amrit Ruturaj,DFO, Lade Gajanan Dayanand, Zilla Parishad Chief Development and Executive Officer, Jyoti Shankar Sahu, Puri MP, representative Parsuram Bisoi participated in the discussion.

Collector,Mr.Ruturaj delivered the welcome speech and discussed the implementation of the proposals in the meeting held on 05.10.2025. Later, MP Aparajita Sarangi thoroughly reviewed the 43 Central Government and Central & State Government sponsored development schemes with the concerned officers and BDOs.MP Smt. Sarangi said that the Disha meeting will be held every 3 months. Since this is an important meeting, every officer was advised to come to the meeting with proper information.The officers were instructed to present clear information in the meeting about the extent to which the infrastructure and progress of each scheme has reached the people. In the meeting to be held in January 2026, the officers will provide detailed information about the extent to which the physical and financial targets of each scheme have been achieved. MP Mrs. Sarangi asked the officers of the National Highways Authority , Rural Development, Agriculture and Irrigation,Lift irrigation to complete the work of their projects immediately. The MP directed the officers concerned of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural) and (Urban) Schemes, National Health Mission Scheme to submit the road map for the next three years by the 25th of next month. MP said that the flagship scheme of the Hon’ble Prime Minister to build a developed India and a developed Odisha, which should reach the homes of the beneficiaries, is the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Rural and Urban the concerned departmental officers directed to expedite these services in the direction of toilets, LPG gas cylinders, electricity, clean drinking water and rural connectivity roads.

Similarly, she directed to prepare long-term vision for health, Integrated Child Development Scheme, Crop Insurance Scheme, soil health card.

MLA, Pradeep Kumar Sahu drew the attention of the MPs on the implementation of rural road and mega pipe water supply projects. In this context, the MP directed the concerned officers to expedite the work of rural road and mega pipe water supply projects. A total of 90055 Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana surveys have been done in the district. In the meeting, Tangi BDO, Rumana Jaffry presented the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme in Vision Power Point. Similarly, BDO, Khordha , Khirabdhi Tanaya Sahu presented the vision model of the Gram Panchayat. MP,Ms. Sarangi said in her speech that the officials should speak with facts so that no one can go against it. As per the instructions, 4454 houses have been approved under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Urban Yojana 1.0 while work orders have been issued to 4230 beneficiaries. Construction of 2974 houses has been completed. 701 houses are under construction. Similarly, the MP reviewed the work of minor irrigation projects in Prachi, Kuakhai Kushabhadra and Bhargavi Kushabhadra under Nimpara, Mega Pipeline Water Project.He reviewed the Integrated Watershed Management projects with the Project Director, Watershed and directed to provide development plans for the next 3 years.The lift Irrigation Department Banpur 14, Khordha 33, Begunia 245, Tangi 22, Chilika 20 and Jatni 11 deep borewells in the block were reviewed.13 projects under PM Kusum Yojana, 29278 hectares in Kharif 2024, 442 hectares in Rabi 2024-25, 25853 hectares in Kharif 2025, while 40 percent success has been achieved in Kharif cultivation and 20 percent in Rabi crops. Along with this, the MP reviewed the progress of the schemes of the leading central and state governments such as Krushak Nirmata Sangh, Rogi Kalyan Samiti, Pradhan Mantri Ayushman Jan Arogya Card, PM Surya Ghar, Baghmari Khordha Bypass Road, MP Fund, Library Construction Scheme in MP Funds in Blocks etc.

The meeting was attended by MP’s Special Officer Shashank Shekhar Sahu, Sub Collector, Kishore Kumar Panda, Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Station Superintending Engineer Er.Rashmita Das, R&B, Superintending Engineer Er.Sibalal Sahu, District Education Officer Sonamika Roy, Chief District Agriculture Officer Rabi Narayan Senapati, District Welfare Officer Dr. Gitanshu Mohan Dash, District Information and Public Relations Officer Laxman Kumar Behera, along with Panchayat Samiti Chairman, all BDOs of the district, and district level officers were present.
