Nidhipur Villagers Demand for Construction of a New Lift Irrigation Point.

Khordha :- (Subha Khabar) The villagers of Nidhipur of Haja GP under Begunia Block in khordha district demand for new lift Irrigation point to improve agricultural production & address water scarcity, especially in areas affected by monsoon variability & draughts. This demand is fueled by the need for increased irrigation, particularly during the dry season to support crop yields & livelihoods.While many farmers of Nidhipur village under Begunia block are mainly engaged in farming & supporting their families, for the convenience of the farmers, a new irrigation project was set up by the state government many years ago for of irrigation. Now, due to the interest in agriculture, the number of farmers has increased as expected, as a result of which it is not possible to provide water to all the farmlands as required, as a result of which many crops have been damaged due to lack of water.Today, the villagers have submitted a memorandum to the Collector of khordha at the joint public hearing camp, in Zilla Parishad Conference Hall,for the construction of a new lift irrigation project in Nidhipur village.
