Khordha-3/2-The District Level Girl Child Day was celebrated in the conference hall of collectorate khordha under the patronage of District Social Welfare Officer, Kusum Kumari Praharaj.On this occasion to create widespread awareness, drawing, essay, debate and other competitions were held in various schools and colleges of the district for a week from January 17th to January 24th 2026.
The program was attended by ADM, Pratap Chandra Beura as the chief guest, District Social Security Officer, Dillip Kumar Hial, District Child Protection Officer, Banishree Pattnaik, Inspector of Police Mamata Pati as the guests of honor.The chief guest ADM,Mr. Beura spoke in detail about the purpose and approach of celebrating National Girl Child Day, the rights of girl children and various schemes of the state and central government for their empowerment.The District Social Welfare Officer introduced the guests.
