Khordha,(24/1):- Baba Shyam Festival was celebrated with great pomp by the Marwadi community. While it is widely celebrated in the Khatu region of Rajasthan, it is also celebrated with joy and enthusiasm in Khordha. A decorated chariot left the Marwadi Patti Dharmashala in Khordha town and reached Laxminarayan Mandap,godipokhari, Khordha through the main road.The town was shaken by the sound .Gaurav Dutta, who came from the Aluar region of Rajasthan and Somi Chaudhury who came from the Tata Jamshedpur region, recited the kirtan. Ankit Pohar Cultural Group, who came from the Calcutta region, organized a Bhajan program.

The event was organized by Sanjeeb Agarwal, Bikas Agarwal, Jyotiranjan Agarwal, Saurabh Agarwal, Kalu Sharma, Raju Modi, Rita Agarwal, Sharla Agarwal, Deepti Sharma and Sunita Agarwal. It was attended by hundreds of men, women and youth of the Marwadi community from Khordha town and surrounding areas.
