Khordha-25/11-On the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women,Gandhi Institute For Education and Technology (GIET), Baniatangi, Khordha organised a special awareness programme titled “Digital Dignity for Every Woman and Girl” on the college premises.

The initiative aimed to promote a safer digital environment and empower students with essential knowledge on cyber safety, online dignity, and protection mechanisms for women and girls.SP, Khordha
Vivekanand Sharma, (IPS)graced the event as the Chief Guest and addressed the participants. In his keynote address, he highlighted emerging cyber threats faced by women and girls, including online harassment, cyberbullying, financial frauds, and misuse of social media. He stressed the need for adopting responsible digital practices and encouraged students to promptly report any suspicious online activity or offences to the police.

The event featured interactive sessions, demonstrations on safe digital practices, and discussions on building strong community support systems to prevent violence in both virtual and physical spaces. Students, faculty members, and staff actively participated, contributing to a meaningful and impactful programme.

GIET College reiterated its commitment to fostering a secure, respectful, and empowered environment for women and girls in all spheres of life.
