Khordha-12/10-In a major crack down on illegal narcotics trade,Tangi Police, Khordha 2 accused persons and seized 30 kg of ganja from Renault Kwid car enroute from Kandhamal to Khordha.
The approximate market value of seized ganga is Rs-3 lakhs.Based on credible information Tangi police team set up a surveillance operation near Kuhudi and NH-16.
Two accused persons have been arrested.
According to the police officials, the smuggler attempted to evade capture by diverting towards a side road near Biribadi Chhak,but the alert Tangi police team managed to block the vehicle and apprehend the accused.The seized vehicle and narroctics have been taken into custody and further investigation is underway to uncover the broader network involved in the smuggling operation.
