TUSHARKANTA NAYAK, ASI OF BANKOI OUT POST UNDER BOLAGARH PS, KHORDHA AND PRASHANT KUMAR SUNDARAY, HG NABBED BY ODISHA VIGILANCE WHILE TAKING BRIBE RS 10,000/- FROM A COMPLAINANT TO HELP HIM IN A CASE

Bolagarh : 24/05 (Subha Khabar) a short while ago, Tusharkanta Nayak, Assistant Sub-Inspector of Police (ASI) of Bankoi Out Post under Bolagarh PS, Dist- Khordha and Prashant Kumar Sundaray, Home Guard (HG) have been apprehended by Odisha Vigilance **while demanding and taking bribe amount of Rs.10,000/- from a Complainant to help him in a case registered against him along with others earlier in Bolagarh PS of which Sri Nayak was the Investigating Officer*. But, Sri Nayak was insisting complt to pay the demanded bribe Rs 10,000/- for above purpose. As complt was not able to pay the demanded bribe, he reported the matter to Vigilance* authorities. Following which, Sri Nayak, ASI while taking bribe Rs 10,000/- from the complt through Sri Sundaray, Home Guard was nabbed today by Vigilance Officers.The entire bribe money has been recovered from them and seized.

Following the trap, simultaneous searches are going on at two locations of each from DA angle.

In this connection, Bhubaneswar Vigilance PS Case No. 09/2025, U/s 7 PC (Amendment) Act, 2018 has been registered. Investigation is in progress against the accused duo Sri Nayak, ASI and Sri Sundaray, Home Guard.
