77th NCC Foundation Day Celebrated with Patriotic Fervour at PN Autonomous College. 

Khordha-23/11-The 77th NCC Foundation Day was celebrated with great pride and patriotic enthusiasm at Pranannath Autonomous College, Khordha.The celebration highlighted the enduring values of unity, discipline, leadership and showcased the growing role of youth in nation building.NCC of PN Autonomous College,Gandhi Engineering College and BJB High School wings enthusiastically participated, reaffirming NCCs motto of ” Unity and Discipline” and its pivotal contribution to shaping responsible service oriented young citizens.The program commenced with an impressive guard of honour.

The event featured a series of patriotic and cultural performances.Addressing the gathering chief guest Mr.Basanta Nayak, Commandment 6th IRB, Khordha , emphasized that the NCC, remains one of India’s most impactful youth organisation.He lauded the NCCs role in instilling leadership qualities, character building, social responsibility and especially in empowering young girl cadets through diverse activities and opportunities.

As NCC marks it’s 77th year of dedicated service the celebration at PN Autonomous College reaffirmed the organisation commitment to nurturing confident, disciplined and social responsible youth who actively contribute to the nation’s growth and the vision of a Viksit Bharat.President of  PN Autonomous College Managing Committee Jyotrindra Nath Mitra was also present as one of the guests.Principal of the College Dr.Bindushree  Mishra delivered the welcome speech, while the President of Prananath Autonomous College Alumni  Deba Prasad Majumdar presided over the meeting. Odissi dance performed by the daughter of former NCC,student Dr. Shambhu Dutt Swain enthralled the audience.

Similarly, former NCC student Preeti Mohapatra came from far away Bangalore and performed a dance on the theme of Dhivar from Ramayana and attracted everyone.The Paika dance by alumni Kabiraj Pradhan and his fellow artists captivated everyone.Sambalpuri and Rajasthani dances were performed by the NCC students of the college. The “Sagar Memorial Trophy” in the name of the deceased NCC junior officer Sagar Prasad,since-2008 ,was presented to Datala Chaitanya by Sagar’s father Uma Shankar Prasad &  mother Gayatri Prasad and guests. Former students Aurobindo Mitra and Deba Prasad Majumdar were presented with bouquets, trophies by the principal of the college.The students who had displayed their skills in various disciplines were felicitated by the chief guest. All the activities were conducted under the supervision of Maj. Khirod Prasad Mohanty, former Vice Chancellor of North Odisha University.
