Khordha-(22/11):-The very old Barunei cremation ground which is situated in ward-3 of khordha municipal council is one of the most neglected cremation ground in khordha town.The condition of the cremation ground is shocking.The situation has sparked growing concern among locals who are now demanding immediate intervention from the district administration.They are calling for the immediate construction of road including the cremation ground and provide minimum facilities.Local residents are dissatisfied with cremation ground due to various issues including encroachment,social segregation, health and pollution concerns and a lack of adequate facilities or accessibility.
Local residents and social activists often allege that despite several complaints before the municipal and district administration their pleas have fallen on deaf ears so far.
