National Women Farmers’ Day Celebrated

Khordha-15/10-The Darabara Sahitya Sansad, an eminent social organization, organized the National Women Farmers’ Day celebration at the Darabara Sahitya Sansad Training Hall at sodhua.

Around 40 women farmers from Tasty Veg Producer Company, Bhargavi Fish Producer Company, and Veggie Costa Producer Company participated in the programme.The guest of the occasion Mr. Narendra kumar Parida, Horticulture Overseer of Balipatna Block,Ms.Jashoda Pradhan, Director of Vegi Coasta Producer Company, Mr. Kedareswar Choudhury, secretary Darabara Sahitya Sansad and Women Coordinators Ms.Annapurna Maharana and Ms. Puspanjali Pradhan.
During their addresses, the guests highlighted the significant role of women in agriculture, their contributions to rural development, and the importance of women’s participation in government agricultural programmes.As part of the event, participants were divided into five groups to discuss and demonstrate the differences between male and female farmers and how women balance household responsibilities while actively engaging in agricultural activities contributing to the nation’s economy.

The event was co-ordinated by Ms. Annapurna Maharana and Ms.Pushpanjali Pradhan, while Mr. Abhiram Biswal managed the overall programme arrangements.
At the conclusion of the celebration, the women farmers collectively pledged to observe the National Women Farmers’ Day every year.
