Khordha-26/7-The Odisha High Court issued a contempt notice to the Executive Officer of Banpur NAC , for not complying with the order of the High Court. Petitioner Sitaram Agrawal and inhabitant of Banpur NAC had filed a contempt of court case against the Executive Officer of Banpur NAC. It is learnt that the petitioner had filed a W.P(C)No-15711 of 2025 in the HC for the construction of drainage system in Ward No.10 under Banpur NAC as the rain water entering into the house of the petitioner due to construction of paver block road without making the drainage system by Banpur NAC authority.After the hearing , the HC had directed the EO of Banpur NAC to take a decision on the construction of drain in the said ward within two weeks on the basis of the joint investigation report of Banpur Tahasildar. But as the HC’s order was not complied within the stipulated time, the petitioner filed a contempt of court vide CONTC No-3184 of 2025 in the HC against the EO, Banpur NAC.
However, after considering the contempt petition, the HC expressed its displeasure and issued a notice to the Executive Officer of Banpur NAC.The case was represent by Sr.Advocate Odisha High Court Jaydeb Behera & Sandip Kumar Mahapatra on behalf of the petitioner.
