Irregularities in Issuing Birth & Death Certificates at DHH, Khordha

Khordha–02/07- Due to the negligence & greed of the dealing assistant working in the birth & death certificate issue section of the District Head Quatre Hospital(DHH)Khordha many people are deprived of getting accurate birth & death certificates.There are also complaints about the person concerned demanding extortionate money to issue birth & death certificates. People coming from far & wide are not given birth &death certificates unless they sign their hands for birth & death certificates, & those who do not sign their hands are given defective certificates.When the person concerned is brought to the attention he shows red eyes & misbehave them, which has been seen recently. A labour class people from Jatni area rushed to the birth & death certificate section DHH, Khordha to correct the errors in his son’s birth certificate, but in the end, he was disappointed.The dealing assistant working in the birth & death certificate section of DHH, Khordha,was previously working at the Haldia Primary Health Center & was caught by the Vigilance Dept. while accepting bribes for issuing birth & death certificates.Later, he managed to get himself posted in the birth & death certificate section of DHH, Khordha by manipulating some dishonest employees of the office of the CDM &PHO, Khordha. Although many complaints have been made to the above departmental officers in this regard, no result has been obtained.In this regard, it is being demanded that the minister of health & family welfare take note of this & a departmental inquiry be conducted against the concerned employee & should be transferred him elsewhere.Otherwise, there is no doubt that this will turn into a public nuisance in the coming days.
