SAGAR CHANDRA PALAI BALIPATNA, BBSR NABBED BY ODISHA VIGILANCE

Bhubaneswar 26/06 – Sri Sagar Chandra Palai, Gaon Sathi of Balipatna (mate), Bhubaneswar has been apprehended by Odisha Vigilance while demanding and taking bribe amount of Rs. 15,000/- from a beneficiary (Complainant) to release the last instalment in respect of payment towards excavation of pond on his own land under MGNREGA – Individual scheme. Even after completion of the work, accused Sri Palai was demanding bribe Rs.15,000/- to release the last instalment in favour of the complt. So, finding no other way, complt informed the Vigilance authorities narrating his harassment by the accused Gaon Sathi Sri Palai. Following this, Vigilance Officers nabbed the accused Sri Palai, Gaon Sathi, while taking bribe Rs 15,000/- from the complt. The entire tainted bribe money has been recovered from the possession
