Sola Flowers Enhance Elegance of Puri Ratha Yatra.

Khordha:- (Subha Khabar(-Keeping the world famous Puri Ratha Yatra in mind the “Ratha Khala” has been moving since “Akshaya Tritiya “. Every devotee gets the opportunity to serve Lord Jagannath, which is in their hearts. Raj Kishore Nayak of Gurujanga village, Bhoi Sahi of Khordha town & his family have experienced it with all their hearts for the past 25 years, they have been preparing Sola Flowers for the Nandighosha, Taldhwaja & Debadalana Ratha & providing them during Puri Ratha Yatra. This year also Rajkishores entire family has come together to provide Sola Flowers during Ratha Yatra. Raj Kishore who has been serving Lord Jagannath for the past 25 years is in his final stage of preparing to decorate the three chariots with Sola Flowers for the Netra Ustav. He said that so far he has not received any remuneration from the state govt. & the puri temple administration. As a result he will not be able to put up more colorful Sola Flowers. Raj Kishore who had high hope has been facing financial constraints. Not only Raj Kishore but all his family members are involved in the preparation of Sola Flowers. Raj Kishore all family members has completely stopped eating Non-veg until the Sola Flowers is installed on the chariot. Raj Kishore has been providing Sola Flowers during Ratha Yatra since -2000 but since -2004 he has been legally granted permission by the Puri Temple Administration. According to Raj Kishore his father & grand father were express in making Sola Flowers. As a result people used to look for him during Dola Melana & Weeding Ceremony etc.held in the local area. He learned Sola Flowers work under their inspiration. Many years ago Raj Kishore went to Puri with some of his friends to watch the Ratha Yatra. But after seeing the three chariots he decided that with the blessing of Mahaprabhu he would definitely provide Sola Flowers for the three chariots. Finally, Mahaprabhu heard what he has been thinking for. While, returning on the way he suddenly felt a supernatural power & had a dream in which he was put on Sola Flowers in the three chariots. But since that day Raj Kishore has not looked back. No matter how many obstacles the Sola Flowers every years & decorates them in three chariots. For the Ratha Yatra Raj Kishore entire family is busy preparing the Sola Flowers of ” Kadamba, Sebati & other colourful Sola Flowers. The work of preparing the Sola Flowers has almost reached the final stage. They have been decorated using different colored threads,jambura, chumuki & bamboo shoot etc. Raj Kishore said that even if he does not get any remuneration for preparing the Sola Flowers, he gets joy from doing the work of Mahaprabhu Jagannath.
